Shopping is not my cup of tea at all but with the wedding in the family it was a must to leave the comfort zone of my home to dig in for the best bargains that the shops had to offer. So with great effort after a week I finally decided to go out on a Friday around fivesh to avoid the scorching heat.My daughter and grand daughter were there with me as they had to do a bit of the stuff themselves for their upcoming trip to Denmark.
The first stop was at Saffron at Ashiana where she wanted to buy the cosmetics, bags and jewellery items for presents. While my daughter shopped for cosmetics, my little 4year old started playing hide and seek in the aisles of the store, which made me run and I was completely out of breath. Its a great responsibilty to keep an eye on the child while you shop.
Thinking that since I am already at Ashiana , I might as well look at the laces available to match with my suit which needed to be given to the tailor for stitching. I searched and searched but as it started to get hotter and hotter and realising that the little one is with us I abandoned the thought of looking for more lace shops. I could see a number of black burka clad ladies shopping in great comfort without the sign of any perspiration and not one but four kids of different sizes ranging from one to ten hustling around them. They without being bothered kept on bargaining with the shopkeeper some laces that they had purchased. I was totally aghast at seeing them. With no air passing through their thick clothes and their head and hands fully covered and the back colour absorbinbg all the heat it can and yet they were fine. On the other hand I wearing my lawn pastel suit with half sleeves and I was perspiring and sweating as if someone had drenced me in water.
Our next stop definitely would be an airconditioned shop /mall and so we decided to go to Ideas as there was a huge sale sign. As we entered the shop the cool blast of the AC made me sneeze . There on I was sneezing continuously and it wouldnt stop. The extremes of the temperature triggers me off with the allergies and the sinus problems.Anyways after the purchases we went to The Plaza for a quick look at a particular fabric that I had seen it earlier. So we hopped over, got it and raced our car back home.
